Tonight is the Christmas party for our community group at church, and I wanted to make one of my "Christmasy" cake recipes that I haven't ever had the chance to try. It was an experiment, and it took quite a while to get it right, but TA DA! Here is my chocolate peppermint cake. It has two layers, with a white peppermint frosting between the two, and a chocolate ganache frosting on the outside. The garnish is peppermint patties, and crushed candy canes. I was so happy that it turned out at all -- so I wanted to share. Now... hopefully it tastes good.
