Tonight I rode out to a campground that is in a neighboring town with some friends from church. Some of our other friends were camping there for the weekend. Drew and I were originally supposed to camp with them, and we were actually quite excited about it since we have lived in Colorado for 2 years now and have not yet been camping (I know...it just seems wrong). But, alas, the army loves to change our plans at the last minute.
Anyway -- as I mentioned, I rode with some friends to go have a campfire dinner up there, and I was just struck again by what a beautiful state we are privileged to live in. We took a bunch of unpaved back roads to get out into the middle of nowhere in the mountains, and it was so quiet, peaceful and beautiful out there. We started heading back to the Springs just as the sun was in it's final moments of setting behind the mountains, and the stars and moon were starting to show in the sky. Gosh -- beautiful.
That's all. Just wanted to share that beautiful mental picture with you. Have a good night, everyone.
