Canada Party -- Opening of the Vancouver Winter Olympics

For about a year now, I've been talking about how excited I am for the 2010 Winter Olympics. I love watching the Olympics, and the Winter Olympics are my absolute favorite. So, in celebration of the long-awaited 2010 Olympics, we planned a little Canada Party -- celebrating both the Olympic games and Canada, the host nation. :) It was a great evening, and so fun to see what costumes friends came in. Our friends dressed in their best Canada or Winter Olympics themed costumes, and we all voted to award Gold, Silver and Bronze to the best costumes. Sadly, only 5 pictures will fit here. Drew was a Curling fan, and I was Whistler, British Columbia -- a mountain town outside of Vancouver where several events will be held. (I was hurting for a costume idea that didn't just involve a ton of spandex and a helmet.) :) We even tried to have canadian themed foods and drinks. I hope all of our friends who came had as much fun as we did.
