Newport News, here we come! We're off to visit friends in Newport News for the weekend. We leave late, late tonight. It's been a crazy week or so. I had that tooth taken out about a week ago, and the meds made me sick in various ways for about a week (I think I'm still recovering from that), but I'm mostly better now. So, I was down for the count for ohhh... about 5 days. I've been trying to catch up, while also having one of my biggest lia sophia shows yet this past weekend (hooray!), and trying to get ready for our trip. Did I mention that the meds have kept me from driving for a full week, too -- yeah, that makes things interesting. This post is probably a pretty good demonstration of my pre-trip scatterbrainedness (new word I just invented). Anyway...
So, here's the next 24 hours or so -- pack, finish cleaning the house a bit, run, wear out toby, hair appt. for updo of some sort (I'm terrible at doing those sorts of things on my own hair), battalion ball at Antler's Hilton (hoooray for actually having it at a nice place this time!), back home for a quick change, grab our luggage, drive to Denver, stay at a place up there for the night (well, maybe just a few hours, really), get to the airport around 5:30 or so tomorrow morning, fly to Newport News (praying for no delays out of Denver, as our layover is only about 45 min. Yikes! Might be running through another airport -- we're getting to be pros at that!) Annnnnd, we arrive there by tomorrow afternoon, if all goes according to plan! Can't wait to see you dear friends in Newport News!!!!!!!!

We were so sad to miss your visit here!!! We all had yucky yucky colds (well, colds gone mad) and Kevin's mom had surgery Friday, so we were just out of commission. I don't think we even checked messages for a couple days which would explain our lack of communication... anyway, I'm sure you had a WONDERFUL trip and I can't wait to hear all the stories and be jealous of everyone else's good time with you. LOVE YOU BOTH!!!
